The living conditions of many Belizeans is surprisingly squalid and we feel that the anchor businesses should be doing more to improve the lifestyle of their employees.
While King's Park might not have many sights to explore, venturing just a little farther will lead you to top things to see and do like Bannister Island and Museum of Belize.
Bella Vista might not have many top sights, but Bannister Island and San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi Belize City Terminal are two attractions nearby that you can check out.

The city, especially the central core is a warren of narrow streets and alleys with something new around almost every corner to surprise you. The people who live here are invariably friendly and helpful when asked a question.
1. Buy your water taxi ticket at the counter of the taxi services. Better price than online. Since there is competition (2 companies 2 minutes from each other), you can even negotiate the price. 2. Use of credit card is accepted almost everywhere.
This does not seem to be a tourist destination--unless you're from a cruise ship and are content to wander within the gated, guarded "tourist village". It's a pleasant city to spend a few hours, or to use as a base for interesting sites nearby.
Enjoyed the tourist village once we figured out how to get into it
Nothing special in belize city but the islands around it is beautiful.
