"We apologise for not writing sooner. We really enjoyed our stay at Mas de la Lavande (July 14th-21st. However, we encountered problems with the hot water. In total, we were without hot water on 3 days during our 1 week stay which we feel is unacceptable. On both occasions we contacted the owner's son, who had welcomed us and provided his mobile number in case of any issues. Hhowever, we received no response. When checking out, we discussed this with him and it transpired that his mobile number...

"We had a delightful visit to Avignon, using all three apartments offered by this host. The apartments were spread across four floors and provided plenty of room for my family to spread out. As the listing states, it is eclectically decorated with lots of odds and ends all over. We could never locate the laundry machine, but there was a great laundromat nearby. "The owners were lovely but this place was difficult to find (Google maps was as confused as we were), literally difficult to get to (1 lane roads and turns too sharp for our rent car), and there was a language barrier with our owners since our French is not very good and they did not speak English. The apartment does not have a washing machine, as we had thought, and no air conditioning in very hot July made for tough sleeping. It also did not come with enough soap or toilet paper. "Very comfortable home for a family in a lovely and quiet neighbourhood. Very accommodating hosts; due to Eurotunnel delays we arrived much later than planned and they made sure we were greeted without any delays. We highly recommend this property."

"The house is situated on the edge of Chateaurenard. Nonetheless, it is only a few minutes drive to the bakery and the supermarket. A very good base for exploring Provence - Avignon is only a few kilometres, and many of the highlights are only a short drive away. It is quiet, clean and well-equipped, with the nice-to-haves of a holiday home: dishwasher, washing machine and wifi. "This beautifully designed house is close to and train station and within the old city center. It is well appointed, clean and in a quiet location. "

"I loved the location, right across the street from the old city. There was a grocery store next door, very convenient. The property seems to be student residences as well as hotel and has laundry facilities, safe bicycle storage, recycling, an exercise room and breakfast for an extra fee, which we didn't do. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was fine, the shower was great, the room was very spacious, but with a characterless, unadorned feel. Still, over all, good value. "

"The area does not feel safe. Although it is on hotels.com, it does not have a 24 hour front desk. The check-in time is 3pm - 7pm. The place does not provide an alternative check-in method unless arranged before hand. We were traveling during the day without connectivity and were not able to receive their email.
