"Long weekend break"
Hotel in a good position and we got the high floor we requested. However as the square can be really noisy with pubs and clubs perhaps not very suitable if on a lower floor if you like peace and quiet. We did canal tour, bus tour and Anne Frank house tour and enjoyed them all. Unless you are prepared to wait in a long queue for several hours, pre-brook your tickets online for Anne Frank although this can be hard to do. Also within five minutes walk is the Amsterdam IceBar, a great experience.

"Perfect location w.r.t. Amsterdam RAI"
We stayed in a Double Bed room, two adults and one kid. Location: About a 5-10 min walk to the Amsterdam RAI Convention center. A 5-min walk to the Tram stop: Drentepark, where you can take a ride to reach the city center in about 15-min. A 5-min walk to the Amsterdam RAI train station. Food: Continental (not much encouraging for an Indian though). But adequate! Staff: Friendly. Facilities: One may borrow a phone or laptop plug adapter at the reception - the staff will gladly lend you one. Free wifi internet (incl. at the room). NO complimentary toiletries - which is a turn-off (but these days, I do not know/ understand why, most Holiday Inn hotels do not provide the same, incl. those in India & Singapore)! Room cleanliness: Nice!

"Beyond our expectations! "
The owners and staff were amazing. We felt like we were family, who were very well cared for. We stayed in the Mondrian Suite, and although it was 57 stairs up, it was well worth the climb. The neighborhood was perfect, one-half block from the #2 Tram, great restaurants and close to the museums.

"Great hotel for central Amsterdam experience!"
This is the perfect location if you're looking for a quick trip in Amsterdam. I stayed here with my friend and as two 19 year old girls travelling alone we felt extremely safe in this hotel! We also knew we could walk as far as we wanted in the city and didn't worry about getting lost because all we had to do was hop on the tram to central station and there was the Victoria Hotel!

"A pleasing surprise "
As far as hotels go, Amsterdam is not a cheap city. The weekend I stayed in this hotel was an expensive weekend, being as it was the weekend of King's Day, a national holiday in the Netherlands. When I booked, there were very few reasonable hotels left in the city. As a result, I took what I could get and I didn't have a particularly high expectations of a three star hotel. As a result, I was pleasantly surprised. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was an ensuite shower room, which was also very clean. There were two small writing desks in the room and multichannel international television. The room even came with a fridge and a safe. Breakfast was included and, again, it was perfectly nice. It was, however, a continental style breakfast, so don't expect too much of it. The staff were typically Dutch in their efficient and friendly welcome and they all spoke perfect English. The central location is quite handy, being a two minute walk from Dam Square. The only downside to the hotel that I can really mention was that my room was at ground level and it looked out into a very small central section cut out of the main building. As a result, there was no view to speak of. My only other criticism is that, before my second night, the cleaner put the radiator in my room on. It was late April and the temperature suddenly took a tumble. The radiator was too warm for me to sleep with, but I really can't complain as this was an effort to make me comfortable.

"Room for improvement "
The hotel could benefit from an upgrade in its decoration of the lobby area which is a big turnoff when you walk in the for first time, as it resembles the entrance of a seedy rooming facility. The rooms and baths have excellent beds and linens, but desperately need much better lighting. The front desk staff was very pleasant, particularly an evening young woman eager to solve problems who even helped us with printing our boarding passes. Rembrandt Plein location is quite good for moving about the city as it is within walking distance of some attractions, and with many tram routes right in front of the hotel and others within a couple of blocks. Neighborhood eateries offer variety in terms of cuisines and prices. I would recommend the hotel to others with the caveats mentioned here.
