"The owner took us to the airport at no charge at 6:00 AM. The owner changed our room when aircon leaked. Huge effort was made on cleanliness & service. Rooms were large as were beds. The hotel was booked for airport convenience and it meets that. Rooms had external doors & wall which I didn’t like as the country has a poor safety reputation. There was a restaurant on site which was good as we mightn’t have had a meal otherwise as walking at night isn’t recommended & we were on a very short trip...

"Staff were helpful in finding a ride to the Fast Ferry at (!) 4:30 am. Excellent AC. Only downside was the loud grass-trimmer just outside. At first I thought: no TP!, but it was behind me.."

"We loved our stay at the Las Cuevas Beach Lodge. Huge room with fantastic views, very friendly helpful staff and an amazing beach directly across the road. As long as you don’t expect five star facilities when only paying their very affordable rates, I think you would also enjoy staying here. Some of the facilities are basic but we were comfortable and enjoyed the bar/restaurant. I would highly recommend spending some time here."

Immediately upon arrival it became very clear that the information included on the booking page and the actual lodging arrangements were STRIKINGLY different. The room was dirty and infested with spiders and mosquitos. We sprayed our room down with bug repellent each night, including the actual beds.
