"I loved this hotel being central for town, bus station, boat trips and market. Very helpful friendly staff and ideal for solo female, safe door lock. Buffet breakfast included and adequate with fresh fruit and pastries. Front room does overlook small bar table area but not overly noisy and no music. Cathedral close by and main tourist attractions/museum. Bus to airport 9 at end of road which is promenade walking area and sea. Great short stay. Steps to access."

"Great place for a short stay. Generous room size. Pleasant and helpful staff. Location is superb, very central and walkable to places and it has supermarket next door which is very handy. Stay included breakfast with reasonable choices. Shower facilities needs maintenance as water pressure was very low, everything else is good and room had massive wardrobes and a lovely balcony."

"We highly recommend this hotel. It was in a very good location to get to the Mercado and the cable car, as well as any place in Funchal. We don’t recommend having a car in Funchal. It’s definitely a walking town. Special thanks to the receptionist. She makes the hotel a higher rating. She was very helpful with recommendations and overall being so dedicated to us having a terrific stay. We would stay here again, unfortunately it was already booked "

"Very comfy beds, we had a nice sea view room, shower also powerful. The breakfast buffet excellent lots of choice every day fully stocked the outside pool area very nice indoor pool was ok looking a little sad needs a bit of refresh however my son loved it. Bus stop 2 minutes walk very close to restaurants shop etc I would stay here again as a great base for exploring "

"Overpriced but fabulous location for one night. Think travelodge before renovations. I was a female solo traveller and it suited my plans and felt safe. Staff lovely, easy check in/out and easy to park at the hotel or opposite. Nice little touristy town. My room was clean but missing a net curtain and as it was ground floor I couldn’t open the curtains as people walked past. If I was there more than one night I would have asked to move. We loved our stay and no ask was too much of the extremely friendly staff, we were provided with packed breakfasts when out early for trips and helped us to get car hire easily too. The only thing which could improve would be the breakfast service. Food was good for the price but the way in which you have to queue up and point to what you would like is strange and seems unnecessary and can be difficult if there are language barriers. Otherwise we loved it and...

"Well situated in Funchal. We found it a straightforward walk into the city centre and near to the airport bus stop. Friendly and helpful staff. Small swimming pool on roof which helped cooling off after our levada walks. "
