Prior to booking at the Old Phuket, we had to find a new place to stay at 8:00pm due to oar AIRBNB room somewhere else, had no Air Conditioning and was dirty. We felt So blessed to find Old Phuket Resort. Staff was great at check in. When we opened the door to our villa - we were in shock !! Hot tub outside, large, cool, room with a desk and places to sit. Beautiful large bathroom AND outdoor private shower.Concierge staff Chai helped us with drivers to different places. So many things in walking distance.

My wife and I stayed at Avista Hideaway Phuket for six days. Overall, there were several things we really enjoyed about the hotel. The breakfast buffet was very good, with fresh fruit juices, a selection of soups and Asian dishes, as well as nice breads, pastries and sweets. The staff were generally very friendly and welcoming. The swimming pool was clean, although not particularly large. One inconvenience is getting between the rooms/buildings and the main hotel facilities. Depending on where your room is located, walking can be difficult due to the layout and steep pathways, so we found ourselves relying on the hotel buggies most of the time. Unfortunately, our stay was significantly affected by a very concerning medical incident. My wife suddenly became seriously unwell after consuming a substance, to the point where she felt that her health was in danger. I immediately contacted reception and asked for urgent medical assistance and a doctor. Despite explaining the seriousness of the situation, it took approximately 30 minutes and several calls and follow-ups before I was able to speak with a medical assistant/doctor by phone, using a staff member’s mobile phone. The priority seemed to be confirming the consultation fee, that medication was not included, and whether I would pay by card or commit to paying cash. In an urgent medical situation, I would expect the immediate priority to be the guest’s health and safety.
