Excellent location for walking tours around the city and surrounding neighborhoods. The inside of the lobby and dining area lacked natural light and could use some of it to brighten things up. Overall great experience and would recommend this hotel for a Santiago trip.

No tenía agua fría la ducha. 3 de las 4 veces me tuve que bañar con agus fría. Llegamo y no tenía jabón líquido en la ducha. Hicimos el reclamo, y tampoco lo repusieron. Tuvimos que hacer un segundo reclamo y esperar 2 días para tener jabón en la ducha. Las puertas tenían muchas manchas como de aceite o grasas que no salían. No volvería

Room is clean, the staff is very helpful, the breakfast is ok, but the hotel does not provide bottle water at room. You need to go downstairs to get drinking water and hot coffee at the front desk.

My stay was very comfortable. The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff was helpful.

We last stayed at the Bonaparte in 2010. The years have not been kind to this once elegant property. It is indeed "tired", as others have remarked. The kind staff cannot make up for rooms that show signs of cosmetic rehabilitation years past, now in desperate need of further attention. The bedding is old, the furnishings in the rooms basic. The Providencia neighborhood is quiet and safe, but it is a ways from the central city. Santiago traffic is fierce. If you are in the city as a tourist, you might want to consider lodging closer in to the main sights to save time and money on Ubers. And a word of caution, almost everything is closed on Mondays - restaurants, all museums, and many shops. Plan your stay accordingly.
