Fiji Cheap Vacations

We stayed in a plunge pool room and the room and view are amazing, if you can, I'd recommend highly. The amenities are standard, nothing flashy which suited our needs. All the staff were top tier, couldn't say enough nice things about them. The problem does arise when it comes to food and beverage. The included breakfast is subpar (and I'm being polite). Was stuck having toast with jam all week. I attempted to order from the menu one morning and had the most disgusting looking french toast I've ever seen. Raw, not uncooked. Raw. To make it worse, they dumped the soupy egg mix on top of the bread and attempted to serve it too me. When I refused in an attempt to eat it and asked for it to be taken back, I witnessed the manager and waiter arguing over it. I don't know what was said, it made me uncomfortable.

This is a really difficult review to write as you have to be there to understand what it’s like. The island is idyllic 500 metres to fully walk around it with clear blue sea and fantastic snorkelling on coral reefs from the beach. Sadly time and passage has killed off lots of coral close to the beach but swim out a short distance and there is endless opportunity. The boat trip and fish feeding were excellent but be warned you will be surrounded by zebra fish which can be overwhelming. The kayaking was good but going onto any neighbouring islands result in a landing fee of $15 per person so we turned around and came back. The staff are very kind and very helpful and there’s always someone to ask a question. The room was basic but really nice with exceptional views and the best sunsets. As vegetarians we struggled a little on a 4 day stay. The evening menu remains unchanged and we had the same starter and main course every night that was a little too repetitive. Breakfast was way too basic for us. 1 juice each morning limited choice and hot water for tea and coffee. Lunch was ok too. There seemed to be very little organisation with good service. Waiting a lot for menus etc. flies were a problem too and food had to be covered with cling film daily. For a 4 star resort I think our expectations were a little higher. There was lots of building work operating all day and late into the night that we were not aware was happening on booking. Loved our stay overall just honest about it

From the first moment we entered the property the staff where friendly and inviting, nothing was an issue with them.the food was amazing from the buffet, and the drinks both spirits and beers tasted amazing. The view from the foreshore was stunning. All round if I could give a 15/10 I would...definitely coming back for mpre

Staff was very helpful and nice. The food was good. New management is only reason I’m not giving a 4 or 5 star. They cut corners and advertise things that are borderline false advertisement. Basically just providing the bare minimum when they could spend an extra few dollars and make the stay so much better. Overall, staff and food are great, management is terrible. Unfortunately, we will be staying elsewhere on our next trip to Fiji.
