This hotel was a beautiful, quiet oasis. The staff was wonderful, our bed was super comfortable and it felt more like a private condo than a hotel. If the big, all-inclusive hotels are too touristy for you, this could be a great choice. We felt very safe here, the hotel is on a private road with a guard shack so limited traffic and easy to walk along daily. There's a beautiful cenote just a few minutes walk away. Keep in mind, being outside the main hotel zone food options are limited to a few hotels unless you have a car to drive into town or to the hotel zone - so we recommend renting a car or scooter. We would also highly recommend finding the Mexican cooking from scratch class in a private Tulum home - it was a great experience.

The premium package was good. Spa and excursions seemed to have a lot of miss information. One price to get you in and another at the time of the service.

Staff was good, rooms were clean, food was made available except for a late night arrival. Pool temperature was colder than we expected, the gulf waters were a few degrees warmer than the pools.

The hotel is basic and is waterfront but does not have a beach. The staff is accommodating but nothing luxurious or stand out about the property

It was a wonderful place with exquisite grounds and facilities! An amazing staff that were helpful and friendly!!

The grounds were clean and spectacular, and the room was fantastic. We had a garden with a partial ocean view, which was very private. We loved the different pools, restaurants, great drinks, and excellent food. The staff were outstanding, the service was superb, (the bellman Arnulfo [blue eyes] was helpful and stepped up to help out with transportation). Housekeeping noticed that we were celebrating a birthday, and they had a pleasant surprise in the room, complete with balloons and a "Happy Birthday" sign. That made the day even more special; it was just beautiful! Can't wait to go back.

First of all, the staff was amazing, not one single rude person on the resort. Special thank you to all the staff at the La Caretta, for some reason I cannot leave their names per Expedia... but the entire staff was so great. Wonderful, loving staff, took very good care of us. The ladies at the Royal check in, I failed to get their names, but I hope they are recognized as they made the check in so smooth and so sweet. Now about the resort. This resort was fabulous. the accommodations were fabulous, all the food was really good, Pools and beach is outstanding. Wish the Mexican food was more authentic, but the staff, wonderful. Seafood restaurant was good as was the Mediterranean. We just had a wonderful time and high recommend this resort.

Our stay was fantastic and went by way too quickly. The staff were beyond amazing. The best thing about paradise village is the beach. So close to the rooms! Food was great and reasonable. Had an issue with room service our first night but overall it was a great trip.
