La chambre n’était pas nettoyée à notre arrivée ou alors très mal nettoyée Le ménage qui aurait dû avoir lieu 4 jours après notre arrivée s’est avéré être l’arrangement des coussins sur le canapé … mais nous n’avons pas constaté de nettoyage des sols ou autre La chambre n’avait pas de vue extérieure , donc pour 5 jours c’était un peu dur de ne pas voir de lumière externe

What a special stay! We previously stayed in hotels but having the opportunity to stay in a ryokan (traditional house) was definitely something unique. We were greeted when we arrived, which made us feel most welcomed. The accommodation had the ambience of traditional Japanese culture with a mix of modern facilities. Breakfast was a treat and once again, traditional. We really appreciated this. Although no one is on site, communication with staff who facilitate the house is easy and response times are not too long. The position is close to transport and a brief 19 minute walk to the centre of Kyoto cbd. Would totally recommend staying here if you would like to experience more of a traditional but comfortable stay. 5 stars from us.
