The room was clean and well organized, which I appreciated. However, the biggest downside was the strong unpleasant odor in the room. There was a musty, stale smell that made the air feel far from fresh, and we found ourselves using air freshener throughout our stay just to make the room more comfortable.
If the hotel could address the odor issue and improve the air quality in the rooms, it would greatly enhance the overall guest experience. Unfortunately, the smell was difficult to ignore and significantly impacted our stay.

"We very much enjoyed our time here. The staff were by far the best part of the experience- so friendly and helpful. Overall, felt as though it was overpriced given the quality of the food and accommodation— as compared to many other Ryokan I have stayed in in Japan."
