This resort was amazingg! Located 20 minutes from Cancun in Puertos Morelos but in a very secure area! Gated entry so very safe! The people were amazing and beyond friendly can’t wait to come back! Food was so good and my room was always cleaned! Private beach not the best clear water I recommend going to the hotel zone and being in that water!

Our stay at iberostar selection Rivera Cancun was absolutely fantastic and we will be returning. Travelers; 2 middle age ladies just looking for a quiet relaxing vacation. Check in was quick and easy. We had requested a ground floor room when booking, which they provided for us. Our luggage was taken to our room #4115. The room was beautiful and clean. Beautiful property! We had a great time. Lots of families and kids at this resort. The beach is very very small, no one was ever on it. There are some chairs and beds available, but you can’t walk the beach and we couldn’t swim due to the seaweed. The food was great, definitely recommend the Caribbean and the Italian. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend for a relaxing family vacation if you like to be poolside!

Resort is nice, food is good, plenty of pop up food stations during the day. 3 Swim up bars and other bars for refreshment. Area for younger kids is very nice. A couple of pool activities for older teens. Beach is close but I would not swim in the water, they do have nice huts to relax on. Walk out swim rooms, are not directly walk out but do have a large area to hang out. We did loose power and water due to weather but it did come back the same night.

THE BAD: Seaweed on the beach and water was awful and smelled so foul! Beach/Ocean time was supposed to be a major part of our trip and the poor condition of the beach/ocean was NOT advertised. Resort convenience store was EXTREMELY expensive for normal items like medicine, etc. THE GOOD: Food was mostly great with options. Drinks were decent..if you like diet coke with your alcohol it tasted very odd. Lots of pools with space but were too cold in my opinion. Rooms nice and clean. Beds were average/good.

The ocean view room with the wraparound balcony had several big windows that provided beautiful ocean views. Unfortunately sitting on the balcony was not possible due to the wind off the ocean. Staff were excellent and the food exceeded my expectations. Only wish they had a shuttle from the airport. Getting a taxi was chaotic and expensive, US$120. As for my provider Expedia, this package was advertised as 50% off. We spent $1250 Cdn / night expecting 5 stars and were disappointed to realize that others here were charged $750 Cdn / night and that it was a 4 star. Great place if you get it for $2000Cdn / person for the week. I feel like a chump
