Very convenient for Cardiff airport. Good choice of food for our evening meal. For the time of year we stayed there , the only real problem was how warm the bedroom was ,as there is no air conditioning. There was a fan , but all that was doing was blowing the warm air around. But it was only for a 1 night stay and the convenience to the airport outweighs the warm bedroom situation

Room was large & spacious. The hotel is very old & has charm, but also could use some updates. Location is great in city center. But the little things are lacking. No soap in shower (empty container), only shampoo. The staff are not very helpful & know little about the area (eg how to get transit to the airport). No late checkout even though the property was not full at all. They charge £10/hr after 11am but the really ridiculous part is charging £5/hr PER BAG just to leave luggage in a closet past 2pm. I travel a ton all over & never heard of this. We had a later flight & had to lug luggage around town for 1/2 a day or it would have cost £80-100 to just leave our luggage there (the room was about that for 2 people for a whole night). We only had 2 backpacks & 2 carry-on bags. Not like it took up much space. Totally dumb policy & they were unwilling to do anything even after a multi-night stay. Just a lame cash grab.

This was an amazing place to stay! Highly recommend! Staff was amazing, checking us in early and giving us a more quiet room, even helping bring one of our bags to our room. There were guest robes, slippers and an amazing shower PLUS a guest lounge and garden room where drinks and snacks could be charged to your room. Five-star-stay!
