Oddly, despite everything being quite clean, the first thing that happened was I stepped on a tooth on our floor in our room. So they lose points for that. But staff was helpful and they made sure i got my camera I'd left behind when checking out.

This is a very new hotel in the SkyCity complex. It's connected by a skybridge to the main SkyCity, so that can be a bit confusing until you figure out the separate entrances. Our room did not have much of a view, but it was very spacious and comfortable (new carpet, comfortable bed, etc.). We had the breakfast buffet on the last day and it was excellent. This hotel is also very convenient to the bus lines and to taxis, as well as being very walkable to the harbor area, Auckland Art Gallery, many cafes, shopping, etc. It's literally in the middle of central Auckland. And you can't get lost--just walk toward the SkyTower!
