![Sihanoukville is best known for Serendipity Beach - a large sprawl of sand known for partying backpackers. It's loud, obnoxious, and full of children with sharp sales skills (so depressing).

Skip it and head to one of the outlier beaches, like Victory, which is much calmer with great food stalls lining it. And the sunsets aren't bad either. :)
