Koosah Falls, twin sister to Sahalie Falls. Sahalie is a Chinook word with a variety of meanings, among them "heaven," or "upper" (as in upper falls). The missionaries to the region apparently used the phrase Sahalie Tyee (Heaven Chief) to convey the word "God" to the indigenous people. Koosah means "sky" in the same language, but my magic reference daemon tells me nothing else about that. http://www.oregon.com/recreation/sahalie-falls

Large corner room with fab view (#603) incredible brunch, gorgeous lobby. Driftwood room is a storied bar with tons of atmosphere. Downtown locale was perfect for our two nights in Portland.
