« Our stay was one of the best experiences we’ve had. The cabin was beautiful and perfect for our family of 4. The creek was a lot of fun, we visited it every day after our day of adventure in Boone and Banner Elk. The porch was nice for relaxing and listening to the waterfalls. Our host Renee made check in super easy. »

« This property is so cute and tucked away! We watched the sunset and the sunrise with some wine, and it was perfect. There’s three other smaller “cabins” on the hilltop but I’ve stayed twice and people are very respectful and quiet. Recommend staying for a couples or solo getaway to relax and recharge! »

« This was a delightfully peaceful stay for my husband and me. There is plenty of room for at least 6 people and even a detached building/BBQ to entertain around 30 people and ample parking.David Woodie is a wonderful host. This is the second time we have stayed at one of this Host’s properties. It is very conveniently located to downtown Sparta, which is charming. « The house was wonderful as was the host. Perfect size the 2 couples with 2 beds and 2 full bathrooms. Loved that the bedrooms had luggage stands, no suitcases on the floor!The neighborhood was quiet and in walking distance to town, the hill going back to the house may be challenging for some. »

« Our family has stayed at quite a few rental properties over the years, but this one tops them all. The location is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, scenic, and the perfect mountain escape. The cabin itself is thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need, which made our stay feel easy and comfortable from start to finish. Communication with the hosts was clear, prompt, and genuinely warm. We truly can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend! »

We used paper plates and plasticware to keep down on dishes but there is only one outside trash can and with a larger group including an infant trash was taken out more often and accumulated quickly. « This house has been newly renovated and was very cozy for our family of 5. The location worked very well for all that we wanted to do in Boone and West Jefferson. Found some great spots for food including: Third Day Kitchen (great views and serene) and the Dough Shed (immaculate restaurant that had a fabulous, well stocked buffet even in late afternoon). We were there in a bit of a heat wave and did find the lack of central AC a little hard and the multitude of newly installed light switches...

« We enjoyed our stay at your VRBO! We also had family staying a quarter of a mile away up Paul Goodman Rd at Bella Woods Cabin that can be rented thru Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. Their house has a huge game room in the walk-out basement, with pool table, foosball, ping pong table, fire place, seated inside bar for serving drinks, hot tub, outdoor fire chimney and patio for roasting marshmallows, beautiful trails on their multi acre site, 4 large bedrooms, and huge 2 story vaulted ceiling in the...

« Fantastic location. Very clean house with comfortable furniture and a nice porch. We had an internet outage and the owner went out of his way to get things up and running for us even when we told him it wasn’t that big of a deal. There is a nice charcoal grill on the back deck also. Highly recommend. »

« We stayed at The Beaver Den while visiting West Jefferson for a family birthday and reunion, and it was perfect. The home was clean, comfortable, well kept, and centrally located. Amanda was fantastic—very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Downtown West Jefferson had plenty of shopping, dining, and activities, and it was a short drive to Boone, Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and other nearby attractions. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back! »
