Fabulous location. A lot of renovation work is being carried out but it didn’t affect any of the comforts of our three night stay.

We had a lovely time at The Armathwaite Hall Hotel which has beautiful grounds overlooking the gorgeous Bassenthwaite Lake. Food & service very good & we enjoyed our Garden Suite. Spa was also lovely. Lovely Relaxing Break.

Lovely, quiet, peaceful location. Lovely place to stop staff very friendly and helpful and food was fantastic. The room very clean and tidy had a great view of the countryside and the sheep and horses in the field next door.

First impression of the hotel at check-in was exceptional- Stephen was very welcoming and friendly, and we knew it was going to be an incredible stay! In fact, encounters with the staff from bartender, restaurant and housekeeping were all friendly, engaging, and positive. The location was serene and relaxing with incredible 360-degree views of mountains and pastures! Inside, there were several cozy areas to relax and unwind. I would also recommend booking a dinner reservation for fine dining as the food was incredible (2AA Rosette) and the ambience as well, with large windows to enjoy the surroundings! Whilst my room was small, it had all I needed. The highlight was the staff: reception and bar/restaurant staff were excellent. Polite, attentive, efficient. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice. The restaurant menu for dinner was ok but sometimes a wider simpler choice would have been nice.
