An easy walk to the cliff railway, cafes and pubs. The room was quite small and the TV from the next room could be heard in ours. I'm not sure if that is why ear plugs were supplied! Having the lounge/dining area available for our use was useful. The brownie was appreciated."Reviewed August 25, 2026Roundtrip • Toronto (YYZ) - Exeter (EXT)YYZ - EXT • 2 stops EXT - YYZ • 2 stopsCA $2,078CA $2,012found 1 hour agoper traveller - Livermead Cliff Hotel

Broadhempston Hotel Deals
"The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals. The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route."
Dartbridge Inn Buckfastleigh by Greene King Inns
Dartbridge Inn Buckfastleigh by Greene King Inns"We were welcomed by the staff and shown to our room, which was spacious, clean, warm and quiet. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality pillows. The shower room was large, clean and modern. It was so reasonably priced, we expected a lot less!"
The Moorland Hotel, Haytor, Devon
The Moorland Hotel, Haytor, Devon"It was a wonderful, yet too brief, one night stay. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Our meal in the informal dining/pub options was nourishing and delicious. The room was clean, large, and bright. We were able to get a room facing back garden and with views. A big pot of tea and a freshly pressed coffee were very nice at breakfast. Local walks on the moor, and to the quarry & rocks and were fab."
"Staff were welcoming / friendly. Hotel/furnishings are old, tired and not very clean. Did not sleep well due to loud humming air conditioning unit outside our room which kept us awake all night. Parking included. Whilst not expecting much for the price, we had hoped we would be able to get some sleep! Staff are the best asset to this hotel."
"The woman who greeted us, was so lovely!!! Made us feel welcomed and at home and would recommend to anyone visiting."
"Room was freezing tiny wall heater mouldy towels"
"Love staying here. Lovely room with a balcony, huge bed and spotlessly clean. Staff are really nice and food is fabulous and hot. Lovely setting and so quiet. Ground floor rooms available"
