#### Visit this bright white viewing platform on the cliffs for a good photo opportunity and enjoy shopping and dining with spectacular views.

Follow the labyrinth of streets and steep harbor-side steps that lead to Balcón del Mediterráneo and be rewarded with one of the best views of Benidorm, one of the Costa Blanca’s most celebrated cities. The platform has been painted crisp white, so it stands out against the blue water.

The balcón was built on remnants of the castle that occupied the viewpoint from the 14th through 16th centuries. Though the castle has since been replaced by white stone balustrades and tiles, you can still enjoy the same majestic views.

Look out over Levante beach on one side and the more traditional Poniente beach on the other. Gaze across the Mediterranean Ocean to see Benidorm Island on the horizon and then turn around to face Benidorm’s picturesque historic quarter. You have just taken in one of the best 360-degree panoramas of the region.

Take a seat on one of the benches provided and enjoy the scene. At dawn or dusk you may catch a glimpse of glowing jellyfish. Souvenir stalls sell crafts and artists entertain the crowds by drawing cartoon portraits or performing music. The area is lit up beautifully at night.

The lively atmosphere continues in the shops and bars leading up to the platform. There is also a picturesque old church, if you’d rather have some peace and quiet. Venture further into the old town to dine at some of Benidorm’s finest tapas restaurants.

Balcón del Mediterráneo is a public place, situated atop Benidorm’s Cerro Canfali Rock. It is best to visit early in the morning or late at night to avoid the biggest crowds. As there is no ramp to the balcón, it is less accessible for those who can’t climb steps.

Really nice hotel. The rooms are very clean and all the staff were really nice and friendly. The outside pool was extremely cold but it is the end of October. The pool table was out of order for all our stay but apart from that we loved our stay here.
