"Hotel is in a excellent area, you can move easly with the train station right in front of the hotel. Hotel is clean, has everything you need, shower was really spacious better than other hotels, feels new. Overall on my trip to japan this was the best hotel i stay in. Will definitely book here again without a doubt."

"My family of 8 had an excellent stay for 3 nights about 2 weeks back. We stayed on the 4th floor in 2 rooms. No elevator was an issue when moving luggage but the stairs were easy to climb, rooms were spacious and everything was clean. All amenities were excellent. The washer was helpful and the shower as a drying room worked awesome. The bus stops were close bus was frequent. Loved Kyoto and Ben's guesthouse!"

"We enjoyed our one night in this Ryokan. It was fun and authentic. There was a certian peace and relaxed mode that it put us on. We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens). The room #24 was spacious, clean, and well kept. Yes, we wore the provided pajamas/yukata. The shower had great pressure and was also spacious. Friendly staff and food at the restaurant was yummy. The gardens were beautiful traditional Japanese gardens. As always, loved the toilet/bidet. Loved this spot!"

"One of the best hotel and resort I have ever experienced. the staff was exceptional. Every need was anticipated beforehand. From the welcome greeting as you steped out of taxi through the personalized sit down check in. Explaining the property. The bell hop showed off the room, stunning view and amenities. we were overwhelmed. absolutely amazing experience. more to follow."

"This is a beautiful hotel. I cannot recommend it enough. The location is fantastic. The restaurant is small, but lovely. The staff was very professional. The only thing I didn't like was the spa music in the hall. It's rather loud and fills your hotel room. You're forced to listen to it. It started at 5 AM and woke me up. Thankfully, they shut it off when I asked. It was a bit odd; I paid for the rooms, but my slightly older friend was the one they handed a business card to and consulted. Overall, this is an extraordinary hotel. You're in your own private oasis amid a bustling tourist area. "

"Second time staying here in two years. Came here in 2024 for my first visit to Kyoto. Was so amazing I came back again. It did not disappoint once again. One of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in. Facilities, staff, food and cleanliness were all excellent. English speaking staff were very helpful and polite. Had breakfast one morning and was amazing. Coffee multiple mornings which were always perfect. Multiple shared bathrooms and showers on each floor that were always so clean that it felt brand new. Both the cafe downstairs and common area upstairs had amazing facilities and were always a great spot to hangout and relax. 2 minute walk from a bus station and 5 minute walk from a 711. Many restaurants nearby that were fantastic as we tried may. KéFU Stay will also give you recommendations to nearby locations. Only negative of our stay and mostly unique to our room as this is out of the staffs control. We were in room 205 next to the laundry facilities. They have notices for people to not use them between 10pm and 6am to not disrupt patrons. Unfortunately many people in multiple nights disregarded these condition and would use the laundry facilities until 1am and as early as 5am. Only mentioning as it did affect our sleep very much, so when you look to book here I would recommend requesting to not be next to the laundry as other patrons will potentially disregard any care for you sleep. Disregarding the negative above. Highly recommend and will be back!"

"It has a great location along the river in Arishyama. It is close to shops and restesturaunts as well. It offers traditional style Japanese rooms and some fantastic traditional dining as well. We asked for a change to our accommodations and staff were very willing to accommodate. Over all would recommend this hotel."
