Excellent location. Good attentive staff. Great breakfast. But the room design is wanting. Black separate shower and toilet are dark. Water is coming out of the shower and the floor is moldy and swallen. So, the washroom door jams. Overall design is somewhat pretentious but with unnecessaryly reduced space and functionality. Would have been better with more conventional simpler approach. Overall recommended though.

We had an issue arriving to London. I tried to contact the hotel but the phone number wasn't working so I sent a message informing we would be arriving the next day and wanted to confirm our reservation was held for us and that our room would be ready in the morning. I received no response. Upon arrival we were told that the hotel was sold out and a room was not yet available for us (even though we had paid for the previous night). We had to check our luggage at the front desk. When we returned that evening I explained the situation and asked for a credit for the previous night since we had pre-paid for a room that should have been available to us. We were told by the front desk that our reservation was good and that what we said wasn't true. Very disappointed to be accused of making something up and if our room had been available to us then why would we have had to check at our luggage at the front desk rather than putting them in our room? I would like to AGAIN request a credit back for the night we were charged.

I will start by saying that I would highly recommend the 1 Hotel Mayfair. The staff are lovely & the rooms are great. This is my 3rd stay there & it didn’t go quite as well as it has in the past. I always bring my dog with me and they usually provide dog wipes so that you can wipe off their feet before entering the hotel room and those were unfortunately not provided this time and they said that they didn’t have them. That was a bummer because I would’ve brought my own, but I didn’t because I anticipated them being in the room again. I would say my biggest disappointment was with room service. I would not recommend the tomato Barada pizza. It is covered in dried tomato paste and then portions of Barada, but it was not very tasty and it was just not what I had expected at all. The tomato sauce is weird and even the Barada is a little weird. In the morning, I ordered a California burrito and ask them to add a few ingredients. They forgot the tomatoes, but they added spicy pickles and because I absolutely hate pickles. The whole burrito was pretty much ruined. When I called them and let them know about it, they said that they would try to take it off the bill. They did in fact take it off of the Bill, but I had a little giggle over the fact that they still charged me for the Latte. I would’ve thought that they would’ve Just exited out the entire breakfast, Bill. It’s not a big deal. I just found it a little funny. The last thing that I would say is that there were a few things i
