I'm typically a complainer so imagine my surprise finding a hotel with nothing wrong with it. We just spent 5 nights at this hotel and loved it. Our room was in the courtyard next to tables and the pool. It had a real community feel since people used the outside patio and Webber BBQ's quite a bit. We thought this might be noisy but it wasn't at all. We had a lovely room with a kitchen. The furniture and kitchen appliances were old style but they were clean, in excellent condition, and frankly, we'd rather have dated furniture than modern stuff with a higher room rate. The beds were firm but surprisingly they didn't hurt my old bones at all and we had excellent sleeps. The pillows were great and the pressure from the shower head was fantastic. The air conditioner worked great and was very quiet. I read below where someone said there was no ice machine - but there is one in the courtyard - next to the lobby (where there was always free coffee available). The pool was fantastic and mid day was quiet so we had it to ourselves a couple of days. The location was fantastic. For breakfast there is a Tim Hortons across the street and a Dennys a block away. It's walkable to the beach, many restaurants and the starting point for the canal's lazy river is only a block away. This is a family run hotel and you can tell they have a lot of pride in their business because the place is kept clean and they are very accommodating to their guests. It was lovely dealing with them. We'll be back!

good place nice staff but getting dated for sure
