Clean room great breakfast friendly staff lots of parking

Cozy little cabin-style stay with multiple rooms and common areas inside and out. We'll maintainedOutdoor patio with firepit, indoor kitchenette, cable and wifi. Very helpful and accommodating host. Very short stroll to local restaurants, cafes and attractions which are totally worth visiting.

The entire area is under construction including the parking for the hotel. Despite this, they were still charging $30 per day to park, and everyone had to park in an unsecured parking lot across the street. Parking should've been waived. Additionally, the rooms were very dated, but clean. There was no fan in the washroom which created a lot of condensation even with a warm shower. On our first night, we were woken before 8 AM by construction inside the hotel in a neighboring room. The hotel was nowhere near at capacity so there was no excuse to be booking people right next to rooms under renovation. Ridiculous. The area of the hotel is riddled with drug addicts and homeless, which I know is not controlled by the hotel, and is sad… But there was no security anywhere and when traveling with kids and attempting to walk to nearby restaurants, it was concerning. The construction around the hotel with one-way street also made it very difficult to access easily. Staff was friendly enough.

Enjoyed our stay. Room and breakfast was basic but did the trick.

Our first room had an air conditioner unit that didn't work. We went back to the front desk and the staff was very helpful in getting us a better room.
