I like hotels with charm and character. This antique filled hotel fit the bill and was a great price (when booked well in advance). We stayed three nights. I was given a nice room upgrade to a suite. It is a great, central location. Service at the hotel was excellent.
Some small complaints. No amenities like hair conditioner. Also, as others have mentioned, they tacked on a service charge at check out. I do not consider this a normal practice and find it slightly misleading. The sheets and pillows were okay but could have been nicer.
I would say it is a four star hotel, not five. Overall, I think it was great overall value and would not hesitate in staying here again.
