When we arrived we were told there was no food at all. Breakfast for £17.00 each so we didn’t agree to that. The room was good apart from the toilet which did not flush every time. It did have two bedrooms which would be OK if you had two adults and two small kids. Not enough room for 4 adults, but it was perfect for my husband and myself. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the lady working in reception who was wonderful and very understanding when we accidentally booked the wrong date for checking out. "Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful
We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!!
If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. This is our second time staying and it definitely won’t be...

"The room is fine, although the tv didn't work but we never remembered to tell the staff. breakfast was a disappointment as although the room suggests an orderable, made to order menu, it was buffet style each morning. still it was the best option in the area so would book again."

"Adequate car parking, good location for Lyndhurst hight street. No air conditioning in King Rufus suite. It was a hot summers day. Lift out of action the second day of our visit. A mini fridge in the room would be helpful. The hotel is in need of refurbishment, certainly the bedroom windows."
