Staff were really helpful in solving an issue outside of management’s control (construction drilling noise in nearby building), and moved us without delay. Fantastic property, very clean, exceptional balcony, large room, and a well-sized communal pool. Would recommend!

A fantastic boutique hotel. Great location and excellent service- cannot fault it in any way.

I’ve just returned from a week-long stay and, overall, we had a lovely time. The hotel is very modern, and the rooftop pool was a highlight. We spent many days up there and really enjoyed it. Breakfast was good; there wasn’t a huge amount of choice, but we always found something we liked. There were, however, a few things that could have been better. The plugs either side of the bed didn’t really work, and our air-conditioning unit was leaking water. We were also given an accessible room, but unfortunately the shower head wouldn’t stay up, so it wasn’t the most relaxing shower. We had to ask for the shower gel and soap to be refilled, and even when we returned around 3–4pm, our room still hadn’t been cleaned. On our final day, we experienced numerous power cuts and weren’t given much information, only finding out what was happening after going to reception to ask. The rooftop pool was lovely, although the bar doesn’t open until around 1–2pm. Naturally, we bought water and snacks to take up before it opened. Once it did open, the staff were a little abrupt when we touched a bottle of water, telling us we couldn’t drink it. I found this slightly rude, as I would have ordered drinks from the bar if it had opened earlier. The location is perfect, around a 10-minute walk to the waterfront, restaurants and ferry port, with a bus stop very close by. Overall, we had a lovely stay and the hotel has a lot going for it.

We stayed on the 6th floor and the view was spectacular. The room was large with a gorgeous outdoor terrace but sadly it had not been cleaned. We needed to clean this area before we sat there - we then were able to enjoy this lovely space overlooking the harbour and city. Our room included a small kitchenette - not really suitable to cook a meal. Expedia lists this hotel with a laundry - it does not, you need to pay per item. The staff were kind, thoughtful and very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The location is walkable to all main attractions, close to restaurants and cafes. Just be aware it is a very difficult place to arrive on foot with large/heavy luggage as there are LOADS of stairs and hills. If you take a cab to the Grand Harbour Hotel (best option)- it is ‘only’ about 50 steps up to the hotel - doable. There are no staff to help you with your luggage as it is a small boutique hotel. Would I stay here again, absolutely, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives.

This is an excellent little hotel, that’s uniquely brought to life by its owners. As it’s small, the owners and their staff are way more attentive than would be possible in a large hotel, including giving tips on things to do and where to go to us Malta first timers. Zebbug itself is a small village, but bars and restaurants are a short walk away. Though the streets around the hotel are tight and the bolt/uber drivers we used occasionally struggled to find us. That said, the area is centrally located and a great base to visit places like Rabat, Mdina, Blue Grotto and Valletta (once we were more confident in directing the taxi drivers) . Highly recommended if you want somewhere with personality and hosts who genuinely care.
