Saint-Baudelle Vacation Packages

Great place to spend a night for exploring Mont Saint Michel. The parking instructions were a little confusing for us so we ended up double paying when we first went to the shuttles, and then went to check at the hotel. The only downside is the lack of AC — this is normal all throughout France but heatwaves are becoming commonplace and it can make for difficult sleeping.

We had a clean room with comfortable beds and a surprisingly large bathroom. Lying in bed, we could see the spire of the Abbey! Check-in before the walkway was smooth, and they allowed us in about an hour early. We also took the option to pay additionally for late checkout. There was coffee and tea in the room for morning and ample extra bedding and pillows. The staff was extremely helpful and kind during both checkin and checkout.

You’re paying for the setting which is incredible and worth everything else. We were in the Joan of Arc annex which is not in the Mouton Blanc building and doesn’t have any of that character on the inside. In fact, besides the very unfortunate carpeting choice, the interior of the hotel room could be anywhere. The beds were very small and bedding was minimal. Not that comfortable. However, the room had an amazing sea breeze with bay view out one window and picturesque cemetery view out the other. Definitely the right move to come to Mont Saint Michele for a late dinner and enjoy exploring the island at sunset when there are fewer people and maximum spooky vibes for our teens. The church bells wake you at 8am. We saw the Abbey in the morning and then hit the road when the crowds descended.

Air was very stale in hallways, need to circulate the air to ventilate

Was not the experience I expected but it was in the heart of Mont Saint Michel so that was the experience. Worth the overnight experience, but one night is enough.
