Learn more about Québec City

Old Quebec

Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site with commercial streets like Saint Jean and Sainte Anne, visit iconic landmarks such as Château Frontenac and Place Royale, and enjoy easy access to Gare du Palais train and bus station.

Saint-Roch

Saint-Roch is Quebec City's creative hub where art and history blend beautifully. This former industrial district now buzzes with galleries, design studios, and French-language theatres tucked into heritage buildings. Colourful street art adorns brick facades while indie boutiques line cobblestone streets. The area offers authentic Quebec culture through its lively craft beer scene and local bistros. Catch live music in converted warehouses or browse artisanal shops selling Quebec-made crafts. Though less touristy than Old Quebec, it's just a quick 15-minute bus ride away.

Saint-Jean-Baptiste

Saint-Jean-Baptiste is a charming slice of authentic Québécois life just steps from Old Québec. This vibrant area centers around lively Rue Saint-Jean, lined with independent boutiques and sidewalk cafés. French conversations drift over espresso and fresh croissants in this creative hub. The neo-Gothic spires of Saint Jean-Baptiste Church dominate the skyline. Parc de l'Amérique-Française offers green space among Victorian-era row houses with colourful shutters. Locals outnumber tourists here, creating a genuine cultural experience within walking distance of major attractions.

Montcalm

Montcalm offers a refined slice of Québec City life away from tourist crowds. Tree-lined streets lead to Victorian mansions and cultural gems like the Musée national des beaux-arts. The historic Plains of Abraham and beautiful Jardin Jeanne d'Arc provide peaceful green retreats. Visitors can browse local artisan shops along Grande Allée or Avenue Cartier. French conversations drift from sidewalk cafés while church bells chime in the distance. This walkable area connects easily to Old Québec, just 15 minutes away by foot.

Beauport

Nestled along the Saint Lawrence River, Beauport boasts attractions like Parc de la Chute-Montmorency and historic churches and homes, including the Bélanger-Girardin House, a National Historic Site of Canada.

We were tired, but had to go back again with luggage to receptionist. Room was ok but weird there was insufficient lights, also two bulbs inside the bathroom wasn't working."

"Great Hotel but, For $600 a night in the studio. Room doesn’t get maid after one night. Very clean! Great location. Great view facing old Quebec City. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice large room with mini kitchen. Sink in washroom was plugged. Bed not that comfy. Parking underground was about $30 for two nights. View and location was great! Toilet was amazing! lol The shower was great but the knob fell off in the shower. Soaker tub was nice. Pool looked great but never used it. Machine coffee only in the room. I usually don’t stay in these higher end rooms but if you’re paying that much it should be flawless. Overall it was very nice other than the few deficiencies. Overall it was a nice hotel just a little pricey for what you get. 😘"

"I love this hotel. It has seen better days, but if you are not fussy about that, then you will love the large rooms, comfy bed and chairs and excellent pool with hot tub. The rotating restaurant is superb, for ambience, view, service and food. Some very nice mocktails too. The downstairs restaurant has a great menu, with nice salads, a very good French onion soup and breakfast too. The location couldn’t be better. You are an easy walk to chateau Frontenac, many restaurants pretty much out the front door, the musee des beaux art is a hop skip and jump, and then the beautiful plains of Abraham park is right next door. And if you don’t like walking, the hop on hop off bus stop is very close too. I loved it and will go again."
