What a beautiful hotel! I felt like i was in Italy, yet right outside was Ecuadorian chocolate and coffee. And everything else. The receptionist was lovely and very helpful. It is on a VERY busy street, so i would not want to be driving there, and ther room I was in was next to the reception area, so it was noisy. Ask for a room farther away if noise bothers you.

Hotel confused me for my sister who had a separate reservation. Even though I have platinum status she received the upgraded room. We had identified this at the time of checkin.
Service by hotel staff was way beyond expectations. We had two non hotel issues and hotel staff went out of their way to resolve. Can’t say enough about the staff.
Breakfast items were limited in types but items all were high quality so it balances out.

We really enjoyed our stay at Oro. Great facilities, excellent breakfast choice and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Guayaquil is generally unsafe and the area around the hotel is a typical example as to why but the hotel try to ensure that this doesn’t impact on your stay and do this well.
I did experience a problem with payment miscommunication during my stay and I feel the staff could have done a little more to assist but that’s a lesson learnt for me. A slight detraction from an otherwise great stay.
