"Friendly staff"

"The staff were very well intentioned and tried to be accommodating, but this was among the worst hotel stays I can recall over many decades of travel. Airport shuttle never arrived, requiring us to get a $20 cab for a 3-4 minute drive. First assigned room would not go above 54 degrees. Second room had mold all over the tub."

"We arrived at midnight and just wanted to go to sleep. The heating in the unit didn't work. It took the engineer 1 hour to fix. "

"Had no ice bucket in room and one of the lights didn't work. Fixed the light right away, but never did get an ice bucket. Otherwise, the accommodations were great."

"Our flight was cancelled out of STL so we needed a place to stay and quick. We booked the hotel and arrived maybe 30 minutes later. Matt at the front desk was welcoming and kind. He explained our breakfast voucher that was included with our hotel rate (it is extra unless you select and pay for breakfast). We were up to our room quickly. There was an issue with the toilet not flushing, but Matt quickly had us in another room because nobody was on the property to fix the issue (it was late at night on a Sunday). Next room was just as clean. Rooms are a little beat up, but they are clean, bed was clean and comfortable, and bathroom was clean (but definitely needs updating). Breakfast was good: eggs made to order, along with usual items at a breakfast buffet. People working breakfast were kind and accommodating. I spent a lot of time in the lobby trying to figure out our return trip home. Lobby is nice, roomy, and lots of seating options. Overall it was a great stay, albeit unexpected since we were supposed to fly out of STL and not stay overnight. "

"The room was clean but I still was able to spot some spots on the walls and furniture where stuff had maybe splashed from previous guests. Besides that it was well clean and perfect! Idk if it’s pet friendly or not. Didn’t go to the bar. And the staff was phenomenal!! 10/10"

"I have stayed at the Moonrise several times, but this visit was not good. The bar and restaurant were not open, the rooftop bar was also closed and there was an odor and unkempt appearance to the entire motel. The beds were comfortable as always, but it was not the best visit."
