Earplugs definitely recommended. This hotel is above a bar which can be heard but isn't too bad most of the time, however if you are near the back of the property you do have to deal with the loudness from surrounding bars and nightclubs at the weekend. Nice sized room with nice beds. The only issue I had was a strange overpowering smell of fish and chips in the room on arrival. This was gotten rid of by airing the room and using hanging air fresheners. The windows were not very soundproof and the locks on them could do with updating to something a little more secure. Nice amenities in the room with a Nespresso machine and we'll stocked tea and coffee options. The bathroom was a compact but functional space with a shower and toiletries provided.

Myself & my husband stayed in this beautiful hotel many times before we had kids. We were really looking forward to our stay unfortunately when we arrived the front desk informed us that the pool was under maintenance & we didn't get a chance to use it for the duration of our stay. We would have appreciated notice of this beforehand as the kids love pools. We also still paid full price, no discount for the inconvenience of no pool, we were left looking for things to do then with the kids after this, it was disappointing.
