« A small B&B but everything is done to perfection. My room had a lovely view of the mountain & church. The bed was comfy, everything was spotlessly cleaned. Breakfasts were always well-prepared and the best of what we had for our entire trip including our stay at much bigger hotels. We had a little problem finding the parking lot the first day. I walked in and checked with Giles how to circle back. Without asking, when we drove back, Giles had already hung out in the front waiting to help...

« Très décevant comme séjour. L'insonorisation est POURRIE (style feuille de carton) et les deux nuits nous sommes en plus tombé sur des fêtards qui profitent du fait qu'il n'y a pas d'employé la nuit pour se promener partout dans le lobby et corridor en faisant claquer les portes. Le matelas serait dû pour être changé, on ressentait tous les ressorts.. Bref, le seul point positif est le magnifique paysage entourant le lodge et le très bon petit-déjeuner (par contre on doit payer, non inclus). »

« We had a wonderful stay. Our room was small but very comfortable with views of the hills. The tea and coffee choices are the best I've ever seen anywhere. Lorna is a lovely host and makes the best breakfast with plenty of choices. The location is approx. 15 minutes walk into Keswick and the Threkeld trail, just down the hill, make walking there better away from the traffic. We would definitely recommend Brookfield and hope to vist again. »
