Beyond the rows of palm trees and charming cafés that decorate the Finikoudes area lie the impressive yachts of Larnaca Marina. At full capacity, the marina is home to 450 boats of varying styles and sizes. Visit this harbor as a gateway to Zenobia’s Wreck, an unusual scuba diving site centered on a sunken ship that capsized in 1979\. Book tickets from one of many operators in the marina for a 15-minute glass-bottom boat trip to Zenobia’s Wreck. Enjoy the views of the fish and other treasures beneath the vessel’s window. When you arrive at the site, learn about what happened to the MS Zenobia. All of the passengers and crew were evacuated from the ship and survived the accident, but the vessel has been left on its side on the sea floor for decades. Dive with a guide to get a closer look at the enormous ship, which has a length of 584 feet (178 meters). Experienced divers can swim into the former cafeteria and see the eerie way that the vessel has deteriorated over the years. Back in the marina, dine at one of the many restaurants serving local specialties, such as calamari, sea bass and octopus. Take an after-dinner stroll in the port to investigate the range of boats. Nearby Finikoudes Beach has volleyball areas and clear water for swimming. Take a break at a café and watch as local residents and fellow visitors go by. Sit on a rock at the port and watch the sun drop below the horizon. Capture photos of the yachts with a scenic backdrop featuring the changing hues of the sky. Beach markets held here sell everything from food and drinks to toys and souvenirs. Larnaca Marina is positioned in the center of the city, just north of the popular promenade at Finikoudes Beach. Use one of the many buses to bring you here from the rest of the city. (125 reviews) We had a wonderful time at the Asimina, this has got to be one of the nicest 5-start hotels I have stayed, and I have stayed in my fair share. This hotel is well run with spacious rooms. The views are stunning as the hotel sits on a lovely beach facing the sea and is exceptionally clean. hard-working waiters and staff in the dining room. An excellent selection at breakfast and if you choose evening buffet an overwhelming variety of choice and excellent quality food. Looking forward to getting back to suite118 one fine day, which had its own private pool surrounded by flowers, shrubs and very private. We had a well-appointed spacious room with a large bathroom. But what makes this hotel stand out is the staff, who were all polite and extremely professional. A big thank you to the lovely ladies on the reception. The extremely helpful and kind Anna-Maria, together with the lovely Miruna, Laurentiu and Valentina. Thank you all for the bottle of champagne, we very much appreciated it. Lastly a special thank you to the lovely and cheerful Simona, what an asset she is, always smiling and making us laugh whilst working hard cleaning our rooms, what a sweet lady. (280 reviews) Good room, spacious and fairly clean. Modern decor. I asked for a dream box as the tv tuner didn’t seem to work. Balcony in room 122 was probably the smallest I’d seen. We had the breakfast option and, all I’d say is, go early as it got (gets) very crowded. Food options were ok, nothing special and didn’t feel 5-star. I ordered an omelette and is was ok. Quite a lot of food options for kids. Bring your own tea bags as the tea served is very low quality. What let the hotel down was the lack of children’s activities compared to other similar hotels in the area. The playground needs a complete renovation.
