John Conrad Golf Course Tours and Activities

My husband and I love this property! Super cool finishes and unique!

Disappointing. I really wanted to like this hotel. It's a convenient location just off the interstate, next to lake Hefner. The facility has obviously been recently updated - the flooring, countertops, etc. were all fresh. The glass shower door was robust and attractive to look at. The staff were kind, especially Chauncey at check in (he's great and deserves a better gig!) Sadly, it feels like a cheap leader is ruining their potential by cutting corners and accepting a low standard. Examples: 1. The door was not sealed, so it was loose and light spilled around the door. 2. The strike plate on the door was loose. 3. The bathroom faucet was not properly mounted to the countertop, so it jiggled around whenever you used it. 4. The shower controls for temp were backwards, and the shower door wouldn't stay closed. It rolled open over and over while I was trying to shower. 5. The clincher that got me to book here was the supposedly great hot breakfast. However, there were no scrambled eggs at breakfast - either day! One day...they even had potatoes in two chafing dishes and one with sausage. What in the world?? Day 2 - The waffle batter was empty, the trash was full...and staff kept walking past it. Sheesh. We actually left early, because my wife couldn't deal with it anymore. I left them similar feedback on the check-out form and have received no response. Avoid this facility until they hire new management who can better nurture the potential of the staff and building.
