"The hotel is close to the airport and the city of McKinleyville. The staff is helpful and kind. Breakfast is okay. I enjoy their freshly brewed coffee. The premade breakfast burritos and egg sausage sandwiches are satisfactory. Overall, the property is well maintained and very clean. Our flight from Tucson to Seattle was delayed by several hours. We lost our first night stay at the hotel, which had been paid in advanced. And our first day for our rental car as well. I asked for a refund but the front desk clerk told me I would have had to cancel the room the day before of our arrival, by 6pm. Had I known the plane was going to have mechanical issues the day before our departure, I would have. Haha! The same issue happened with Avis, the car rental company."

"I loved the architecture and historical photographs. The room was clean. The hallway leading to the room had a strong unpleasant odor, but the room smelled better. We were able to let the fresh air in with large windows. The restaurant, Tomo, was great! The shower flooded the bathroom floor because the water pressure was so high it splattered on the floor even with the shower curtain draped inside the tub. Great black out curtains, but you can hear everyone's business as they laughed and spoke loudly walking around town which they did well past 10pm. There is a baseball stadium a block away and we could hear every word the announcer said over the PA. Luckily I brought earplugs. Unhoused people sit outside the hotel which was a little scary, but honestly they were quiet and nothing happened."

"Portraits of past inn guests lined the walls (presidents, actors, writers). It was a unique historical hotel. We liked the fenced parking area and the beautiful lobby. Breakfast was good. Our only suggestions are that there is no fan in the newly refurbished bathroom, which had a musty smell. Also. we were unable to watch network stations (which were listed on the Guest information book). Live tv needed to be streamed. Jane was VERY helpful and we appreciated her efforts ( she came up to the room to help us) but we still could not access the network channels. We had to sign up or log in to watch what we wanted. It was disappointing since we wanted to watch Game 3 of the NBA series which was on one of the major broadcasting stations."
