"We stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed the experience. The lodging is terrific and diving, jet skiing, snorkeling and sailing are right there on the beach. The restaurant and bar (which also serves food) have good food and drinks. However, it often felt as though they were understaffed and running a bit frantic. It wasn’t uncommon to see the wait staff talking when guests were waiting to order or get food.
The two restaurants are the main eateries at the resort and there are no restaurants nearby. Unless you have a car, you either hire a taxi or eat at the resort. One evening, both restaurants closed for a private event and all guests had to either eat at the golf club, which was basic and not very good, or take a taxi somewhere. It’s not very logical to close both restaurants and leave your guests stranded. Poor decision.
I spoke to the manager, who has been in place only a month, and shared my observations. She seemed genuinely open to the feedback.
I recommend Las Verandas, but I would confirm you will have access to everything before booking. "
