Grand Beach Vacation Packages

This is a case of “you get what you pay for”. The hotel is old and run down. It’s could be cleaner. The pool is dingy and yellow and the liner is not attached properly. My son enjoyed the water slide. On our first night, there was a beeping sound in our room that we couldn’t figure out what it was. A staff member came to investigate, we did not find the source and he left. He did not return. So he left us with this noise that would’ve prevented us from sleeping without a resolution. We wound up finding it ourselves. It was the fridge. Thus we had to unplug the fridge and so we had no useable fridge during our stay. We were awoken abruptly on our first morning by a fire alarm that repeated itself five times over the course of about 30 minutes before we had to leave the hotel due to the alarm continually going off. There was no communication from staff during this time. The guests were all in the hallway and no one came to tell us if we needed to evacuate or any information at all. While the hotel is as expected for the price point, I do expect better communication and follow through from staff. I would not return.

The room was clean and the pool was great. We loved the patio off of the pool, it had sliding accordion doors so we could watch the kids play in the pool while we lounged. The breakfast bar was super convenient and the restaurant also had great food. Everything you needed was right on site.

The hotel was clean but the air conditioner was very loud. The room got very warm without it on. Also, the pool can be a bit tricky to get to, and there are no chairs in the pool area to put your towels or clothes on while swimming. Otherwise, a nice hotel with ample parking, close to restaurants and stores.
