The biggest concern during our stay was a serious safety issue around 9:25 p.m. An unidentified man repeatedly knocked on our door and tried to get us to open it. He did not identify himself as housekeeping or maintenance. He said he wanted a light and eventually asked if I was going to open the door. I told him no. I tried calling the front desk from my cell using the number listed on the hotel phone, but that number was incorrect. I then called the number I found online but could not get through. Our room was at the end of the 3rd-floor hallway next to the stairwell, and there were no cameras covering the stairwell or landing. Our room also had a broken secondary door security bar and a nonfunctioning phone. At checkout, I reported everything to the front desk. I was told the manager had been contacted but was off that day. There were also other disappointments. This was our first trip to Omaha, and I chose this hotel based on its website. One reason we booked was the hot tub, but it was out of service for maintenance. I took photos. There was also a bug in the pool. Our room did not look like the pictures online; the carpet was ripped and there was a water stain on the ceiling. We were there for my son’s birthday, and unfortunately, this was not the experience we expected. Based on our stay, I would not feel comfortable staying here again. I emailed the manager, and he has not responded.
