"I have already recommended this hotel to family and friends. This was our experience and we all missed it as soon we had to leave Florence :
- welcome you receive at the door (no standard check in desk- instead you give staff your passports and they do their magic while you and your family enjoy delicious drinks in a very elegant and comfortable waiting room)
- the staff anticipating your needs (we are not good planners and they booked for us both attractions and train tickets; suggested and...
"What can’t we say about this place. Michel and cinzia are just the perfect hosts.
Nothing is too much trouble and they keep at a discreet distance - there just when you need them. "

Only issue was check in - deceptive advertising of kids free but staff disputed vehemently. Although this is likely a US vs italy custom- this should be made clearer (Eg strict registration policy for kids despite free stay w existing bedding noted on web site and other internet sources ) to avoid the significant stress we experienced at check in - in addition to...
"The hotel has the best view ever and 15 min from city center where you can just relax without hustle and bustle of tourist. The staff is fantastic, they go above and beyond to make your stay memorable."

"This was my 5th stay at Hotel Lucchesi and I will always stay here when I am in Florence. It’s a charming old hotel with a fantastic staff, especially Romano and Michele, the concierge. The breakfast is delicious and the rooftop bar offers spectacular views at sunset. Its location is perfect and close to everything you want to experience in Florence. "
