There was stuff all over outside the room that could of easily been tripped over and someone was sawing something right outside my door at 4am in the morning. And as I was getting my stuff together I seen a roach crawling on the floor

I travel the world for a living and this is one of my top few favorite places to stay. Yes, it has the basics: clean, friendly, nice restaurant, bar, great location, water views, gym, etc. But, the rooms also have full sizes bottles of local wines, wine glasses and openers, robes and slippers, full amenities, a fireplace that lights with the press of a button! It's surrounded by a variety of great restaurants within very short walking distance. There are loaner bicycles and paved walking/running/biking trails along the Columbia river and close proximity to a golf course. The Lodge has it all. I love it!

Made Reservations, was contacted by property that renovation were ongoing, checked to see if pool was still open, was assured that it was. Next day after arrival found signs hung up that pool was closed patio was open. Signs were older and match renovations sign and had numerous spiderwebs and were not new . Asked when pool closed and was told was just day before for pump issue. However could tell had been longer. The nice pictures of the dock to river are misleading alos as the dock is broken and access is blocked. The area around the hotel seems to be a meeting place for car get togethers or fishing from the point. Left hotel day early and went to usual place we stay. Will stop next time in area and see how renovation looks after complete. Breakfast was just OK. You have to have a ticket from front desk with number of people so whole family has to go at once vs whenever individuals want to go. Place has potential to be great due to unique location. Ask for 2nd floor or above for better river view.
