We had a great stay here. Super friendly staff, professional, attentive, everything is clean and spotless. The FREE buffet breakfast is really decent and has a wide range of food. You can easily find American breakfast or Mexican style chilaquiles with eggs cooked to order. Bed is not really comfortable and we asked for some blankets but it is not a big problem. Parking is spacious. Beautiful beach view, walk straight to the beach in 1 min, Live music on certain night. We rented a car and took 15 mins every time we wanted to go to Avenida Tulum which is a busy street with shops, restaurants, pharmacies, etc. 10 mins from Xel-ha is a plus! Hand down best experience!
We enjoyed our stay at VR club, the staff was very helpful and courteous. The evening music was very good. The location is beautiful, peaceful and serene. Hope the entrance road is paved soon!
We loved our time at VR Club! The resort is quiet and small and has a very family atmosphere. The staff is attentive to all needs and strives for excellence in every area. Food was delicious, room cleaning was excellent, all services were fantastic! Will definitely return!
The staff was amazing! Everyone was very kind and welcoming. Enjoyed the private beach and easy parking. Definitely recommend have a vehicle as the is a bit more secluded.
The staff was very kind, cheerful and helpful. At the reception desk, at the meals and even those working housekeeping, the service was outstanding. I truly hope they get compensated for their hard work and loving welcome towards your guests.
We loved the private each and no crowds. The service was outstanding. Get the all
Inclusive. I’ll stay again next year. Recommend this to all my family and friends.
Could not have asked for a more perfect destination. The open concept front desk/lounge/bar/dinning has amazing air flow and beautiful views in every direction. The food was always good and the staff were very friendly and always helpful. I would very much like to come back soon.
Nice enough - front desk staff aren’t very helpful. They will also add money onto taxi costs so watch out.
However the dining room and bar staff are lovely and very helpful.
There are better options around but it ticks a box

BThe good, beautiful views and location on the beach. The bad hardest bed couldnt sleep on and no hot water. Hotel lost power had to check out before my stay was over and get another hotel.
Beach was beautiful. Dresser in room was broken. Could not put toilet paper in toilet, had to put it in a trash can- entire resort is like this. Food was fair at buffet, had food poisoning last night of stay and only ate at resort. Drinks were fair at bar. More mixer than alcohol. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would give it a 6 out of 10. If u r looking for beautiful beach, this is it. If u r looking for hotel with nice amenities, not the place for you.

Aerial View Very Misleading
Overall a nice hotel. Decent food and friendly staff. Drinks were weak and only Dos Equis beer that wasn’t cold.
DO NOT rely on the hotel images here! The buildings in the entire bottom have of the aerial view are abandoned, with broken windows and the pool hasn’t been operational in years. ONLY 2 POOLS HERE.
My sister and I were able to have an all-inclusive vacation. It must be mentioned that the personnel was incredibly kind and well-kept. Regretfully, the cuisine was really underwhelming considering the extremely limited options. It was really disappointing. You really don't get to sample any of the Mexican cuisine, which is really disappointing. I was always simply asking taxes to take me to restaurants where the food was better and actually tasted good.

NICE PLACE & VERY FRIENDLY STAFF !
Hotel Staff & Premises were in general good. Recently built hotel. Recommend to ask to be placed in 2nd Floor, it´s more private. Restaurant didn´t have red wine for 2 nights. Area were the pancakes are placed, had so many flies. Beers are served through a 1 liter bottle in glasses, thats why its not cold, should be a normal bottle and served directly. DONT go to Tulum without renting a car, taxis are super expensive, as they are a monopoly and there is no uber, that is INCREDIBLE.

The resort itself was above average for the price. It was nice that it was quiet and on the beach. The seaweed was a constant issue, and although the staff attempted to keep it to a minimum, it did continue to be a problem. I didn't read anywhere in the reviews prior to book that they didn't want you to flush toilet paper, which honestly doesn't sit well with me. There were two restaurants and the buffet on the premises. We only went to the italian restaurant and the buffet. The italian restaurant was good. The buffet breakfast had a number of options including omelets made to order and was included with your stay. We did try the buffet for dinner on two nights which was an extra cost of $64 canadian per person, which seemed a bit expensive to me as the food was nothing to be overwhelmed with. I am thankful we had rented a car. The parking was free. The resort was about 15 minutes by car into downtown Tulum. It would have been expensive to pay for cabs each time we wanted to go into town.
This laid back beachfront hotel is quiet, chilled out and friendly. The sea view rooms are excellent - we had a superb view of beach and ocean. The food is fantastic - lots of variety and great value for money. It is the quiet season and the hotel made en effort for evening entertainment with outside singers and entertainers performing in the evenings. All the team are genuine, welcoming and really looked after us. We had a rental car and its good location to get to all the sights. It’s be hard to be here for a week without a car as there isn’t anything close by.
A few improvements could be:
- Gym Kit: Replace gym equipment on beachfront. It’s a great feature we used five times but the equipment is broken and missing weights.
- Communication: There was a tropical storm, the power was off for half a day, there was damage to our room and we weren’t kept up to date on what was happening. We understand this happens, it’s Mexico and the season but a heads up would have helped.

The road to the hotel is just in a bad condition; rocks and holes everywhere. Be careful if you rent a car. The location was great, right on the beach and 15-20 min drive to Tulum.
The concept is clearly made around the idea that they will try to sell you all inclusive (1200 pesos/person/day). We were told we can decide later and just use the menu for the restaurant if we wanted to ordered dinner that is not a buffet. It was fine the first night, but then the rules suddenly changed. We couldn't order and the restaurant staff kept making excuses and changing their "offer" as the conversation continued. We refused to pay for the buffet and left. This would've all been fine if we were told from the beginning and if they were clear about the "rules".
I loved the workers they tried their best to make things good for with what they had. I know there was a hurricane but they were taking their good old time cleaning things up Zi had to use a bucket to flush the toilet there wasn't any water to wash hands or take a shower. I could not get in my room unless I found some worker to open it. Once things got a small bit better nothing to do . This was boring no kayaks no boats nothing not a party to me. I did get some free meals after we asked for thrm to recompensate for the lack of amenities. I will not recommend to anyone. Our friends room was rained in and this was after the hurricane. Will I be able to get a refund?
For the price I paid I was expecting something better for example the overall property is ald and outdated…and tio rustic …but to my like not very good taste….there were many ants … coffee maker provided but not a cup to make a cup of coffer (should have two cups for two hosts) … the room was very smelling old and bad odors, drainage at shower was slow.. towels for were old and seems like they bought at the thrifty store diferent colors .. there was no diferent towels for the shower and the swimming pool.. the drinks were not as good As I have tried at other resorts, the glasses in which they served the drinks were very poor quality, swimming pool is old and only for little kids…food was good and plenty, but servers at the restaurant overwhelmed us when we were eating.. there is no need to ask too many times for many of them how were we doing.. The overall experience was not Good .. I wouldn’t recommend this place to none if my friends
Our room was nicely cleaned every day. The restaurant, grounds and pool were nicely maintained, except for the beach. The sandy area by the pool was raked but in "seaweed season" expect a large zone of seaweed to get through in order to get to the ocean. There wasn't the ever present loud music to deal with making the pool visits peaceful. There weren't a lot of other guests at this time so we always had chairs for the pool or beach. Waitstaff present at pool. If the power goes out you will not have a/c or water until it is restored. The room a/c was weak and then it died. We ended up moving late one night to another room that also had weak a/c. Screens on the doors and ceiling fans would be a nice add on. Meals seemed expensive at the resort but they were in town as well. We opted for the room/breakfast deal. Meals are a typical buffet. But there are other restaurants on site. Check for hours. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Tour companies onsite. Get a rental car. It's worth it if you like to get out and see things on your own. Taxis and buses are available at the security gate or on call. The ruins are great in Tulum and Chichen Itza is only a 2 hour drive away if you are into that sort of thing. From the highway in it is not paved. Expect a few bumps. You can visit several places with this resort as a base camp. This might be a nice family place. I would actually stay here again if we were to return to Tulum.
