"The room was clean and cozy, the bed was comfy, and the staff were wonderful. The location was great, with restaurants, ferry to the island, and the Commuter Rail just a short walk from the hotel. We would definitely stay here again."

"Place was nice - mostly brand new things in the room. It was also clean enough. It would be a lovely place to stay in the summer! My biggest complaint was that they used something similar to a window curtain for a blanket."

"I stayed at the 1620 for the first time 2 years ago- for a work related conference. We chose not to rebook as the 1620 really needs a refresh. My stay this week confirmed my initial impression 2 years ago. There is def. areas of the hotel that need repainting. The bedspreads in the rooms are...shabby, stained. The lamps need to be updated (so you can charge phones/MACs). The bathrooms are fine. towels fluffy and white, but smelled of mildew. Staff were very helpful and kind."
