If I could give this place 10 stars I would. It really was exceptional. We were greeted by the most friendly manager she was truly happy to welcome us. We got a welcome delicious alcoholic beverage made by the bartender and also got a surprise in our room with another drink and fruit it was truly special never had that before. We brought our rescue dog and he got lots of attention too from the staff. The tent is sooo fun clean, roomy and the pool is a great touch. We enjoyed watching the birds, butterflies and iguanas. The restaurant was delicious and again great drinks and attentive staff. We can’t wait to go back.

If we could give Hotel Sanctuarium more than 5 stars, we would. My partner and I arrived as guests and left feeling like family. From check-in to our reluctant departure, we were treated with incredible warmth and care. Every member of the team seemed genuinely invested in making our stay special. We highly recommend this boutique hotel, and if you’re lucky enough to discover this hidden gem, don’t hesitate to book! A special thank you to Danny and Yeraldine at the front desk, Jerry the operations manager, Kevin the concierge, and Fabiola, Jaricza and Dayana at the restaurant and bar. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made all the difference. The property is absolutely stunning and brand new, having opened in December 2025. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with flowers throughout, wildlife roams freely, and the peaceful river landing is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica. The pool area is fantastic, featuring heated and non-heated sections, plus a wet bar that makes it easy to enjoy a drink without leaving the water. The food was outstanding. Every meal exceeded our expectations, and the cocktails and mocktails were clearly crafted with creativity and love. We came to Costa Rica hoping for adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable memories. Hotel Sanctuarium delivered all three and more. Thank you for making our trip so special. We had a fantastic stay loved the boat ride to the lodge, rooms were spacious, lovely big bathroom Balcony had a lovely swinging seat overlooking the river Breakfasts were fruit plus fish of your choice and was excellent Trails around the hotel were great to see frogs and birds We did a fantastic magical kayaking trip which is a must We visited national park to see turtles laying eggs, unfortunately she Borykng the hole before laying eggs but we did see the turtle going back to the sea and the hole shed dug, still a memorable experience A highlight were the iguanas lounging around the pool with us and the macaws hanging out in the trees
