"For a 1* pension hotel the room I had as a solo traveller was superb ! Good sized room, sink, fridge, and balcony was just perfect. Also the property has clearly been renovated as everything appeared new and the common WC/ shower rooms are very modern with a very hot power shower. Raphael and Carlos keep the property spotlessly clean and do a great job. I highly recommend Pension Alcala, but its best to try and book a room with a balcony "

"We had a lovely time in Fuencaliente, the Pensión is clean, well equipped and light and the area is quiet. Owner is very friendly . There’s lots to do especially if you like walking and amazing scenery. Good restaurants in town or you can do simple cooking in the appartment . "The are many very large and very nice pools on the property. We couldn't find the time to visit them all. They have several good dining options at the hotel. The spa is extremely nice, but book a day in advance. Lots of shops nearby too. And there is a casino right there in the hotel. "
