The location was excellent for our purpose. Sight-seeing The room was good, the view wasn’t great, overlooking an unkempt area. I was not too happy with the checkin There was hardly any info given about the hotel I didn’t realize the stuff in the mini bar was complementary. However, the snack bar listed on the amenities is just that, a mini bar

I’ve stayed at this hotel three times in one year. I will only ever stay here when I’m in Edinburg. The view from the lobby/ restaurant is incredible

Hotel reception on the 7th floor which gives access to a wonderful cocktail bar with a terrace and terrific views across Princes Street in Edinburgh. Rooms very comfortable

The people at check-in were so nice! Friendly and super helpful. The guy at the bar was kind of a jerk. Bed was excellent, lots of sundries supplied and everything in the room was complimentary! Would definitely go back!

The staff at Market Street was top-notch! They were very professional and friendly. They also resolved a minor dispute over the total of our bill in our favor, which was really appreciated. We highly recommend staying here!!

Had a fantastic stay. They hotel is beautiful and cosy and a fabulous location. Wish there was staff at the entrance on the evening to make it feel more secure, but was a wonderful stay regardless.

The hotel reception is at the top floor with spectacular views of the city. It was a great location for sightseeing in the old town, especially since we were only staying one night and leaving by train in the morning. Waverley Station is across the street, so heading to our next destination was a breeze!

Awesome modern boutique type hotel. Incredible friendly staff. Very conveniently located right outside main Waverly train station and just less than ten minutes walking from the center of old town. I highly recommend this nice hotel

We were very happy with The Market Street Hotel. The location is superb. Also, we were very pleased and impressed with the complimentary refreshments and the delicious coffee. The room was very clean and quiet.

We loved all the light in the facility, from our room which looked out on the main street to a most pleasant breakfast space. The staff and service were wonderful. Knowledable, personable, a delight to ask questions of. The location is perfect for roaming around Old Town. Felt that some of the amenities were a bit off. For example, our hot water heater to make coffee wasn't working and they didn't have a replacement. The breakfast was beautifully presented but some of the food was kind of bland.

Property is located right outside of Waverly Mall station and is at the edge of the old town, so you’re about 8 mins walk (be prepared for lot of steps/slopes) away from landmarks there. We were offerred free well stocked minibar and the room had dyson hair dryer. All other amenities in the room were great. We arrived early and my husband wasn’t feeling well. Jill got us a room immediately and he was able to rest and recover so we could continue our travel next day. Very thankful for her thoughtfulness. Great location/amenities/staff, highly recommend.

Great hotel in a great location. Very good value for the quality of the rooms, the facilities and service. Given the hotel is on Market Street, I was pleasantly surprised how quiet the room was even on the 2nd floor. The rooms were well laid out, very comfortable and included a free minibar - what a bonus! Accessing Edinburgh was easy with Princes Street and the Royal Mile just a few minutes walk away.

Incredibly well located hotel, with stylish rooms. Great in-room amenities (complimentary mini-bar, Roberts bluetooth speaker, Dyson hair dryer, coffee machine even with a milk frother, umbrellas for guest use.) Fantastic for exploring Edinburgh and getting a great night’s sleep.

I recently stayed at the Market Street Hotel with my boyfriend for a night. The location was amazing. The beds were super comfortable as well. We ended up upgrading our room to the suite and it was beautiful! We loved the balcony and everything about the suite. We loved Edinburgh and the hotel so much that we stayed for an extra night! Thank you so much to the staff for being wonderful as well.
