"Great place to stay in Edinburgh"
Booked this hotel for my parent's short visit to Edinburgh. Location, staff and the rooms being quiet and clean is normally top priority for my folks and they loved this place

"a delightful surprise in the West End"
A charming three-story converted old property given modern retouches and 21st Century comforts. Avoid the Googlemaps directions though - much easier to stay on Princes Street (follow the tram lines) until you get to Palmerston.

"Great place"
Loved this hotel. A bit out of the way, but it's beautiful and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the "do not disturb" sign was actually honored. My extremely tiny room was surprisingly comfortable and well-designed. A great value, and literally right in front of the bus stops to the city center and airport.

"excellent location"
The best thing about this hotel was the location. The bus from the airport drops you off close to the street and being right beside Princes Street, you're handy to everything! The room was very big and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.

"Weekend stay"
We stayed in the hotel in July for a few nights. Although room was small it was very clean and en suite. This is a very good place to stay if you're on a budget. In every corridor (6 rooms in one corridor) there is a kitchen so you can cook your own food (microwave, fridge and cooker included). What makes it even better there is Tesco store just 3 minutes away. To get to the city centre (if you're walking) it takes about 15 minutes. The only disadvantage, that we've noticed, is that there are few rooms (on ground floor and first floor) just by the main entrance so if you're unlucky to get one of those you may not sleep well as it gets loud at night when people are coming back from the town. There also is a common room there which includes TV and pool table (not the best condition) , next to the room there is a laundry room.

"Excellent hotel in the best location in Edinburgh"
This is the best hotel to stay at in Edinburgh. It's location in the center of town and next to the train station make it ideal. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet allowing for a great sleep. My favourite part was stumbling upon the J.K Rowling Suite, it's where she finished writing Harry Potter

"Ideal location, great to access all experiences"
Easy to find and the location meant that the Royal Mile is behind and Princes Street is in front. Lots of restaurants and pubs are close by as are a variety of shops. The hotel also has a lovely swimming pool, spa and gym for those rainy days. An open top bus tour is a must and a visit to the royal yacht in Leith is surprisingly interesting especially if you take the bus there and see more of Edinburgh on the way

"Excellent food and excellent staff"
We booked a family room for a short stay and were expecting all of us to sleep in one room. We were very pleased to find that we had been given a room with two bedrooms. It suited us perfectly. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The food both at breakfast and at the evening meal was superb. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help us.
