“Go earlier in the season”

Was a long trip to see the Waterton Lake and surrounding area but because of rain and clouds we could not even see the lake. Some things were closed for the season so we were disapointed. To late in the season to enjoy the area.

“Quiet, comfortable, clean and cosy.”

This new hotel is quiet, comfortable, clean and cosy. It is conveniently located in the main town and within easy walking distance of the main drag the lake shore and everything else in this small village. Pearl's Cafe nearby has fine food and friendly wait staff.

“Where prairie meet mountains”

Perfect place to get away for few days, spectacular surroundings. Limited restaurant options in winter, bring your own wine and snacks. X-country skis and snow-shoes required in winter for visiting local trails.

“Great value for money”

This hotel is really cute, with really friendly and helpful staff. At check-in, we were upgraded to a king bed suite. All rooms have refrigerators and microwaves if you want to avoid going out for dinner after a tiring day of hiking. The best part - jacuzzi tubs to rest your tired feet :) They also have tie-up with their sister hotel's restaurants which gives you 10% off food consumed there. It is a short walk from the lake and the main street in town. One of the few hotels in the Canadian parks that has ACs for a hot summer day or night. Areas for improvement: 1. The ceilings seem pretty thin. You can hear the sound of your shower/jacuzzi in the room above you like you're actually there. 2. Wireless connectivity wasn't the greatest. I had to tether my mobile phone for more reliable internet access.

“If you are disabled or handicapped this is not a place for you”

We stayed for 2 nights at the Glacier Suites in a Romantic Suite which has a king size bed, fireplace and jacuzzi. The room itself has very high vaulted ceilings and is cozy and comfortable. Not outstanding but not disappointing either. The romatic suites are located on the second level. There are absolutely no provisions the disabled or handicap which is rather shocking, needless to say disappointing. No elevators. No handicap parking. No hand rails in the washroom/jacuzzi. The stairs going to the second level are extremely narrow so taking luggage up is cumbersome. Upon check-in, you will be presented with a copy of their smoking policy. It states that you can not smoke within 30 feet of the complex. So basically go stand across the street. No smoking on the patio/balcony. There is a $500 charge if you do. This place and the Bayshore are operated by "new canadians" and it is obvious that they are not up to code with access for disabled persons. Had we know this in advance, we wouldn't have stayed.

“Price is in complete agreement with quality.”

I found during my trip hotels for a lower price that heave the same quality. I find the price a little bit to high.

“Wierd layout, parking lot view”

Didn't expect to have to look at a parking lot when you book a hotel in Waterton National Park. Layout very weird in the room, no sheers so you had to have the heavy curtain closed or everyone walked past your room looking into the bedroom. (ground floor) Decor dated.

“Confortable rooms but bad service”

The room was very comfortable but the service was very bad. The suites have a beuatiful look. When the service was better this was a very nice place to stay.
