This property was perfect and am gonna come back and would like to stay here. The only problem is venezia doesn’t have nice transportation so to reach hotel you have to cross three bright with lots of stairs.

Not what was expected
The experience started well. We were met off the water taxi and checked in. The reception was lovely and warm and as it was raining really hard, the warm drinks were a welcome comfort. Breakfast was great and the staff team served us well. The let down, was the room, it wasn't what I booked and as I look at the photo opposite this review it wasn't the room we had. The room, was small and dark. there were 4 of us and it was so small with hardly any room to place anything. Can't say the cleanliness was the best, the bidet had obviously not been cleaned. The complimentary bottles of water were dusty and for a family of 4, 2 aren't enough. We also only had 2 cups in the room, again, for a family of just didn't work. I could have complained, but this was my partners 50th birthday and she didn't want the hassle. I'm sure there are some lovely rooms here and peoples comments probably do part of the hotel justice, but enquiry if you are in the main building or annex, if annex, I'd reconsider and if a family of 4, I'd question the room. The attention to detail in the main building. doesn't carry across to the annex. This really was a disappointment to the trip, we enjoyed Venice, just not great having to sleep in what should have been more comfortable hotel

Our stay was fabulous. We didn’t spend much time in the room other than sleeping for the two nights we spent in Venice. The space was large with very high ceilings which made it feel even larger. We were in the annex building just outside the main entrance with multiple levels of secure doors. Staff was friendly, very clean, good location. We were escorted to our room and keys/locks were clearly explained Only negative was the small safe was not bolted down but didn’t have any valuables anyway so not an issue.

This hotel was in a great location and the room absolutely lovely! Louisa was so helpful! The breakfast was great and the coffee/cappuccino fantastic. Highly recommend!

Very Charming Hotel!
We had some trouble finding the hotel due to the street number on the building being faded. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Our room was perfect. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, yogurts, delicious pastries and cereals. And made to order any type of coffee you wanted. The only complaint was whoever lived upstairs, they walked heavily on the floors & pulled a chair across the floor at 6am. Woke us up both days of our stay. Be sure to take water taxi #1 here. We were misguided by water taxi staff and had to pull our heavy luggage .7 miles, over at least 5 stairs!

Super helpful staff
The room was lovely if a little small. A bit noisy around 6am with rubbish loading onto boats on the canal but the staff were super helpful with recommendations and carrying luggage

The description said the hotel was a ten minute walk to the airport. I couldn't imagine how that could be true. But it took five minutes to get into the airport and another five minutes to get to the terminal. Unbelievable. It took longer to get to the boat into Venice than to walk from the hotel. Only issue for me was there was no elevator

The room is old Style and need some upgrades. Bathroom as well. No elevator for luggages . Staff are excellent, surrounding is excellent and nearby restaurants and shops are perfect.

I normally don't review hotels, as most are fine. But Ca' Gottardi was exceptional. The location was perfect. The room was fabulous. But what made my stay here particularly wonderful was the service. I arrived 2 hours early and was allowed to check in. When checking out, I departed almost an hour before breakfast was served and the staff had prepared breakfast for my family of 4. I highly recommend this hotel. Incredible.

A great find in Venice in a central location with exceptionally attentive staff and an "Old World" feel. We loved our four nights at this hotel for many reasons, including the hospitality (quickly addressing any issues, providing coffee and bar service in addition to breakfast, ordering a water taxi, etc.), the amazing location (walkable to both the train station and San Marco, on a pretty canal, quiet at night), the sumptuous décor (we had a massive Venetian chandelier in our Jr. Suite), and the comfort (great shower with body jets, comfy beds, quiet air conditioning that works!). We would absolutely stay there again and have already recommended it to friends. A

When we arrived we will immediately greeted and offered a cup of Caffe Latte with biscuits. Our room was wonderful with a view of the a canal. The location was very convenient, just a few minutes from the Waterbus stop. And breakfast was very nice. I would definitely stay at this location again. Thank you all for a wonderful visit.

The service was top notch. Fabio and Sorina were outstanding. Always very friendly and helpful. They provided excellent restaurant recommendations. Also very accommodating for our breakfast time. Couple small things that could be better, 1) the AC was not very cold but it seems it may be normal for Venice, 2) the shower drain was slow and pooled a bit of water. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Great location and nice, spacious room. The main reception area of the hotel is actually separate from the room we stayed in, which was across the narrow street. There weren’t elevators in either building, so you have to go up stairs. The breakfast included was good.

This was a wonderful charming hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room was cleaned and towels changed every day. Staff were just lovely, at breakfast very attentive. On one of the days we wanted to visit Verona, the gentleman at reception helped us plan our trip and offered to change our breakfast time slot to accommodate us.

Little gem in the middle of Venice. 10 mins walk from Piazza San Marco and closed to Restaurants, grocery stores. Staff were amazing and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Our stay here in early July 2022 was perfect. The staff was amazingly helpful and kind; the included breakfast was a great start to each of our days; and the location was super (we walked from the main train station with luggage upon arrival, and walked to the Alilaguna Airport Water Taxi port upon departure, both 10 to 15 minutes walk in different directions). The rooms are air conditioned which was an unexpected bonus for us! Finally, the mint and cherry water refreshments offered in the lobby each day were one of the many things I will remember about Venice. Definitely recommend this great hotel!
