“In Tijuana, this is the hotel to stay in.”
Very nice affordable hotel
“Fancy Hotel”
It's very close to the US embassy and a good choice if you're going to renew your visa at Tijuana.
“Had a pleasant Stay.”
Good hotel,with execellent service. Restaurant staff were very nice, and food was great. Though what we wanted was not on the menu, they made it just for us.

It was a pleasant time at the hotel. Area is good. I'll recommend Real Del Rio, good service.
“An excellent hotel, even for the budget-minded traveler”
An excellent hotel. Good area. Fantastic service. Very reasonable rates. English-speaking staff. Make sure the taxi driver knows the street address, as there is a similar-sounding hotel (Camino Del Rio) nearby. If all else fails, tell him it's behind the U.S. consulate, across from the Office Depot. If you walk across the border from the San Ysidro Trolley station, it is a ten-minute (or $5) taxi ride from the Mexican side of the border. This hotel is in the "new area" of Tijuana. It is off Los Heroes near the Abraham Lincoln statue. There is an American-style shopping mall a few blocks away. The only irritant was the sirens at night (this IS Tijuana, keep in mind). The hotel is also near a city police station / court house as well as Tijuana General Hospital. When my travels bring me back from Tijuana again, I would not hesitate to stay here.
“Frequent Visitor”
Hotel Real del Rio is an excellent hotel in a safe area. The staff members are courteous and taxi service is readily available. I especially like the close proximity to the Rio Plaza Mall.
“Suprisingly Very Nice Hotel. Close to Shopping, etc...”
When you think Tijuana, you don't immediately think nice hotel. But this Hotel really stands out. From the Front Desk Staff that were very friendly, to the Bell Boy that helped us to our room. The hotel seems recently remodeled. The rooms have a very modern feel to them. Even the Keyless Entry system was state of the art. Everything about this hotel screams new and modern. I will definately stay here again. And I would heavily recomend anyone that needs to stay in this area to stay here as well.
“Very convenient for some one visiting the US Consulate”
The Hotel is in a good location and is extremely convenient if you're planning to visit the US consulate in Tijuana for your visa needs. The consulate is right behind the hotel. There is a Banamex bank a block away from the hotel and there are many restaurants near the hotel. There is taco stand (I think it's called Three Brancos) close to the hotel and the burritos there were awesome. I couldn't resist the taste and had to eat 3 of those for my lunch. The Internet did not work on one of the days at the hotel and the staff at the reception did not seem to care despite my repeated complaints. Other than that, the hotel was good and the room was clean and I enjoyed my stay. I recommend this hotel.
“What a jewel”
This hotel was absolutely charming. Friendly, relatively well English speaking staff. Boutique style property, dark wood and marble interior, pretty upscale for the price. Secure and very clean rooms. Nice firm beds (no bedbugs, we checked, well with all the recent media about the problem) , marble bathroom, crown molding. We were only there for an overnighter, but during our stay it was great. Good location, excellent taco stand right at the corner of the street. Restaurant and beautiful bar on site. I highly recommend this place and hope to return myself someday.

Affordable, freindly staff, clean, good amenities, nice restaurant, safe location....i will defenitely stay here again.
